- The Crossover, by Kwame Alexander. This book follows the basketball journey of Josh and Jordan Bell.
- The Westing Game, by Ellen Raskin. This book is a thrilling murder mystery. Sixteen strangers are gathered together and tasked with solving the mystery of Samuel W. Westing's death in hopes of claiming the title of heir to his fortune.
